Billionaire retailer Sir Philip Green wrote to some of the UK’s top landlords to arrange a meeting to discuss concessions on service charges and insurance across his retail portfolio.
The letter came directly from Green not only on behalf of his BHS and Arcadia groups but also a list of more than 33 retailers that joined the campaign.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, many big-name retailers including WHSmith have asked landlords for rent concessions.
