Next year’s Mipim Tennis Classic will again take place at the Cannes Tennis Club (behind the Martinez) and the 2019 edition will have more star power than ever before.
On Wednesday 13 March 2019, former British number one Tim Henman will make his debut in Cannes as a VIP guest. He will pass on coaching tips and his charity – the Tim Henman Foundation – will be one of four to benefit from next year’s event, alongside LandAid, Bright Ideas for Tennis and the Cannes Community Fund.
‘Tiger Tim’ talks to Property Week
“I’m delighted to be supporting the Mipim Tennis Classic. It’s an event that’s been growing fast over the past few years, raising lots of money in the process. I’m hoping we can continue to build on that success this time around. These types of event are a great way of getting together to enjoy a few hours of tennis, while trying to help change the lives of those less fortunate.
“There are some fun, new additions planned for the day, including the chance to win a one-to-one coaching session with me. I’m really looking forward to getting down to Cannes and raising as much money as possible for our chosen charities. It should be a fantastic day.”
The organisers aim to smash this year’s record fundraising total of £36,527.
There is capacity for 32 players at the fifth annual #MakeaRacket doubles tournament so make sure your firm is represented at the event next March.
