Will more Japanese investors follow Nomura into Europe?

Japanese investors starting to look more closely at UK and Europe as they expand outbound investment teams.

Japanese investors piled into foreign real estate in the mid 1980s, but since the early 1990s they have focused largely on their domestic market.

Investment data gives little indication that this is about to change. Japanese investment in overseas real estate fell by 9.1% to $2.7bn (£2bn) in 2017, according to CBRE.
