The number of private real estate funds which closed last year fell 26% from the year before, while the total amount raised globally also dropped 10.6%.
Prequin, which supplied the data, said it expected the 2018 figures to increase by up to 10% as more information becomes avaliable but the totals are unlikely to match those from 2017.
