Japan Leisure Hotels is to announce plans today for a £100m ($203m) flotation on London’s AIM for raise funds to invest in Japanese love hotels. Financial Times

Japan has about 25,000 love hotels, generating annual revenues of £17.5bn a year, more than the UK’s entire hotel market. The venues provide short-stay facilities for couples and each room used up to three times daily.

Japan Leisure has purchased five hotels with an independently estimated value of £20m since 2005.
