The Secretary of State for communities and local government has confirmed a compulsory purchase order for land central to the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership's £750m plans.

The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, working with Bracknell Forest Council, can now move forward and enter into further negotiations with major retail tenants to finalise a development strategy.

The regeneration will provide 602, 000 sq ft of new retail space, 161, 000 sq ft of dining, leisure and entertainment space as well as 1,000 new homes in the Berkshire town.

Detailed designs and announcements about the first lettings agreements are expected to be made public within the next 18 months.
