90 North has hired John Yeend as a partner from LaSalle Investment Management, where he was director of investment and development acquisitions for six years.
The property investment firm, which acts on behalf of Middle Eastern investors, has hired Yeend to help continue its growth and broaden the range of investments it makes. Last year, 90 North reached the milestone of £1bn in global assets after completing a number of deals in the US totalling about $300m.
Yeend said: “I am very pleased to be joining 90 North – the firm has a great combination of proven transactional ability and sound equity partnerships.
“Our intention is to widen the spectrum of investment opportunities to include alternative real estate sectors and also development joint ventures in conventional commercial markets, which have been a feature of my career to date.”
Before working at LaSalle, Yeend was the investment lead at Northridge Capital and Treasury Holdings respectively. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor.
Nick Judd, founder and head of investment at 90 North, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome John as a partner here. With an extensive track record and superb reputation in the UK, he is the consummate professional.
“His skill set and competences will perfectly complement our team – which to date has completed £1 billion’s worth of deals worldwide – as we continue the hunt for new investment opportunities.”
