Glenn Newson, head of UK property at Aberdeen Property Investors, has left following the firm’s acquisition of Goodman Property Investors.

Newson, who joined from Credit Suisse, is not thought to be immediately joining another asset manager although his plans are unclear at this stage.

He left Aberdeen Property Investors, an arm of Aberdeen Asset Management, last week, 14 months after joining the firm when it poached a seven strong property investment management team from Credit Suisse in March 2007.

Following its acquisition of Goodman Property Investors, Aberdeen is now the second biggest asset manager in the UK.

Newson declined to comment.
