The Bon Accord & St Nicholas shopping centres in Aberdeen have secured five fashion brands.

It has signed Arcadia’s Top Shop to take a 16,000 sq ft store while Mosaic Group has signed up for stores for Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis and Warehouse.

The deals follow the recent openings by New Look, Republic and Jane Norman.

The stores will open to coincide with the completion of the refurbishment of the central atrium in May 2009, and the opening of a new 54,000 sq ft Next store.

Bon Accord & St Nicholas is owned by a joint venture between Land Securities and British Land.

Katherine Armstead, portfolio manager at Land Securities, said: 'These deals represent a huge step forward for the scheme and give further support to our ongoing extension proposals.’

Mark Ashton, head of retail portfolio management at Land Securities said: ‘These lettings further improve the unrivalled fashion offer at the schemes.’

Geoff Green, outgoing group property director at Mosaic Group, said: ‘There is a superb fit between our four brands and the Bon Accord & St Nicholas shopper. This is an ideal trading location for us and the outstanding performance of the small Oasis store we currently have has proven to us that we can really achieve the sales.’

Bon Accord & St Nicholas attract some 270,000 shoppers a week.

The St Nicholas mall is being fully refurbished, with work already underway.

Retail agents at the scheme are Eric Young & Co, FG Burnett and Cushman & Wakefield.
