AMB Property is planning to develop one of Paris’ largest industrial parks.
The San Francisco-based US REIT has bought 128 acres of land, north of Charles de Gaulle airport.
AMB St Pathus
The scheme, to be called AMB St Pathus Logistics Park will total 2.3m sq ft of distribution space when complete.
The scheme will be developed on both a speculative and a build-to-suit basis. The purchase of the land, from undisclosed vendors, fits in to the company’s strategy of developing near prime transportation hubs. AMB St Pathus will be closely located to the N2, a large freeway which connects Brussels to Paris.
Competitive advantage
Mo Barzegar, managing director for Europe at AMB said: ‘With its large floor plate design efficiencies and easy access to Paris, AMB St Pathus Logistics Park will compliment our existing portfolio of airport facilities. Land of the size is at a premium in Ile-de-France, providing AMB with a competitive advantage in this region.’
