Mark Birley, the founder of Annabel’s nightclub, cut his son, Robin’s inheritance in his will after a bitter family feud. The Daily Telegraph
Birley died last month, aged 77, leaving his £100m fortune amassed to Eben, the two-year-old son of his only daughter, India-Jane, 45. She will control the funds.
The will leaves £1m to Robin, 49, and nothing to his only child, Maud.
The virtual exclusion of Robin will overshadow next Wednesday’s funeral service at St Paul’s church in Knightsbridge.
Until last year, Birley had intended to divide his wealth equally, but after a dispute between father and son over the management of Annabel’s, he amended his will. Birley later sold the Berkeley Square club for £102m.
