Apollo raises €204m for Tifco hotels acquisition

US fund Apollo Global has completed the acquisition of Irish hotel group Tifco for an estimated €204m (£181.8m).

Tifco is Ireland’s second-largest hotel operator, behind Dalata, running 24 hotels across the country and has been acquired by the US distressed assets fund from Goldman Sachs. Goldman took control of the group, which has assets including Clontarf Castle hotel and several Crowne Plaza properties, from private Irish investors in 2014.
