Fund manager believed to be in advanced talks with LaSalle IM as it turns focus to direct real estate business.
The fund manager is believed to have held talks with LaSalle Investment Management and Savills Investment Management about selling the business, which invests in other funds rather than directly in property.
Discussions are understood to have now reached an advanced stage with LaSalle IM, which has about $58bn (£42bn) in assets under management (AUM) globally including about $2.4bn of indirect investments.
