Gateway Plaza, the £70m mixed-use scheme in Barnsley, has received £40m funding package from Barclays Bank.
The funding from Barclays comes after Gateway Plaza secured £5.2m of Objective One funding for the office element. It has also attracted Landmark Development Projects as joint venture partners along with existing Barnsley-based developer Quest Property.
Gateway Plaza will comprise 96,000 sq ft of office space, up to 288 luxury apartments, 21,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space and a 110-bed 3 star hotel all built around a central plaza. It is due to complete in 2008.
Jones Lang LaSalle, Lambert Smith Hampton and Smiths Chartered Surveyors are the office agents. King Sturge is the residential selling agents.
