Barking and Dagenham Council’s private subsidiary company BDTP has acquired the Londoneast-uk Business and Technical Park in another major property acquisition by a local authority.
In 2018 councils spent a total of £1.82bn on commercial property according exclusive data from Savills revealed by Property Week earlier this month.
Covering 17 acres, Londoneast-uk was left vacant after pharmaceutical giant Sanofi moved out of its plant on the site in 2014.
