James Caan, the entrepreneur who sits on the panel of BBC2’s Dragons’ Den, is studying the possibility of making an offer for some or all of embattled property services company Erinaceous. Daily Telegraph
He is understood to have recently held a meeting with Erinaceous’s financial advisers to discuss the possibility of buying part or all of the group.
It is also thought Caan, who founded headhunter Alexander Mann, has held talks with some other shareholders about making a joint offer for the company.
However, he could face competition as it is understood the company has received several other approaches.
In October, Mr Caan disclosed that he had started building a stake in Erinaceous; he is now thought to own around 5.7% of the company. He bought his initial 3% shareholding at 39p and 40.5p.
