Be First builds on Dagenham regen with Dynamo Travelodge

Barking and Dagenham Council’s regeneration company has agreed a deal to build a new 78 room hotel alongside the new Dagenham East film studios.

The hotel will be run by Travelodge through a funding agreement with Berkeley Square Developments on behalf of Be First acting for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

The deal follows recent approval for a new film and TV studios and a movie-themed visitor centre to be built on a 22 acre-site at Dagenham East. The £100m scheme will incorporate 12 sound stages, a major events centre, VR and 3D attractions and retail and dining outlets.
