Balfour Kilpatrick, a subsidiary of construction firm Balfour Beatty, has taken more than 50,000 sq ft of office and industrial space at MEPC’s Hillington Park near Glasgow.
The deal is the largest MEPC has achieved at the business park, which is located to the West of Glasgow near the Braehead shopping centre.
Scottish headquarters
The company has taken the whole of the new £5m Lumina building, a speculative three-storey office building, for its new Scottish headquarters.
Lumina, next door to the Hillington Park Innovation Centre, totals 27,522 sq ft and has been taken for fifteen years, with a ten year break, at £16.50/sq ft.
New industrial space
Balfour Kilpatrick has also taken a new 26,860 sq ft industrial unit at Huntly Road. The space has also been taken for fifteen years with a ten year break. The company is paying £5.75/sq ft.
Covering 417 acres with 3.5m sq ft of existing accommodation, the Hillington estate is the largest business destination in Scotland.
