Analysis of official data by Channel 4’s Dispatches revealed that Boston, Lincolnshire, was the most susceptible to flood waters, with 57% of homeowners at significant risk – described as having a one in 75 chance of flooding in any given year.
In Boston, a market town with a population of about 65,000, 15,906 homes fall into this category. In Windsor and Maidenhead, second on the list, one homeowner in five faces the same level of danger.
