Energy giant BP has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle to advise on its property transactions in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

As a result of the three year deal, tipped in Property Week 07.12.07, JLL has become bp’s global provider as it already provides transaction management for the firm in the US.

Richard Paver, BP vice president, group real estate, said: ‘This new agreement will enable us to operate with far greater consistency, introducing common approaches, global tools and simplified processes across all our projects.’

It is thought that JLL beat competition from other global corporate services players such as CB Richard Ellis and Cushman & Wakefield to win the contract.

The new contract comes on top of renewals with existing clients Honeywell and GlaxoSmithKline last year.
