Bristol Mayor scraps city centre arena plan

Legal and General Bristol plans

Bristol Mayor Martin Rees has abandoned council plans for an arena at Temple Meads in the centre of Bristol.

The idea has been abandoned in favour of a £300m mixed-use development from Legal & General. This will include a conference centre, a 345-room hotel, and 550 new homes on the site.
