Birmingham’s tallest tower got the go-ahead last night.

The Eric Kuhne-designed 50 level tower being developed by Dandara for the residential centrepiece to Arena Central in the city will start on site next year.

The £200m residential tower, to be called the V Building, will include a restaurant and ‘Sky Lounge’ rooftop observatory. It will include 706 apartments and will be completed by 2012.

The tower will sit to the southern edge of the 7.6 acre Arena Central scheme which is adjacent to Alpha Tower in the city.

The scheme is being developed by joint venture partners Miller Developments and Bridgehouse Capital while Dandara is development partner.
