The UK housing market is showing the first signs of an upturn in three years.
Steve Turner of the Home Builders Federation said the industry had been through the economic equivalent of a tsunami but that 60% of big builders say they are seeing an increase in sales. Turner says the biggest hurdle to recovery now is the availability of mortgages.
