Building slump worst for 45 years

Britain’s commercial and residential building industry endured its sharpest slump for 45 years in the first quarter, with output plummeting by 9% from the previous three months. Industrial building output fell by 27%, commercial construction was down by 16%, and residential housebuilding was down by 10%.
