Cambridgeshire County Council has appointed Strutt & Parker to sell its historic administrative hub Shire Hall which dates back to the times of William the Conqueror.
The unique site has been the seat of government in Cambridge for over 1,000 years, having served as the council’s HQ since 1930 and started life as one of three royal castles in Cambridgeshire built by William the Conqueror in 1067.
