Canada Life acquires Northants CC HQ in sale and leaseback deal

Northamptonshire County Council has agreed a sale and leaseback deal on its One Angel Square headquarters to Canada Life Investments for £64m.

One Angel Square, located in the centre of Northampton, is the council’s single largest property asset and comprises 150,000 sq ft. The council moved into the building just last year, bringing together 12 former offices in an effort to save £53m.
