Canada Life is thought to be the frontrunner to buy Legal & General’s Galaxy office portfolio for £210m.

It is thought that the insurance company is under offer to buy the portfolio ahead of HSBC and REIT Asset Management.

Another large portfolio was brought to the market this week.

The Oak portfolio, which comprises a £150m package of mainly office properties, is being sold by insurer Aegon.

DTZ is thought to be advising on the sale.

Legal & General has also this week sold the Realm portfolio, worth around £11m, to MCR Property. Knight Frank acted for MCR; Jones Lang LaSalle for L&G.

Canada Life is thought to be represented by Tudor Toone on the Galaxy deal; DTZ advises L&G.
