Carmarthenshire County Council has formed a joint venture to transform a former cheese packing plant into an office, leisure and retail scheme.
The former eyesore in south Wales will be refurbished for Welsh window and door company Nolan uPVC to include leisure and retail space.
The former creamery in Johnstown, Carmarthen covers more than six acres and has been derelict since 2001.
The joint venture between the council and Nolan uPVC, a manufacturer and installer of windows, doors and conservatories, will include the relocation of Nolan uPVC from its site in Fair Lane, Carmarthen.
Jonathan Fearn, the council’s head of corporate property, said: ‘We are delighted to be ridding the town of such a prominent eyesore.’
