Castlemore has submitted plans for a £400m ‘professional district’ scheme in the heart of Sheffield this week.

The developer plans a 1.8m sq ft scheme called West Bar which will comprise 900,000 sq ft of office space as well as 700 apartments and students homes, bars, shops restaurants and a hotel. The seven acre site is bordered by West Bar, Corporation Street and Bridge Street to the West of the city centre.

It is aimed at the professional, legal and financial sectors to the heart of the city.

Castlemore said the feedback following the public consultation had been ‘extremely positive’. In May it signed a development agreement with Sheffield City Council.
