CB Richard Ellis has completed the £12m acquisition of industrial agent Holley Blake

The deal for the 16-strong firm completed on Friday and was announced to the New York Stock Exchange today. It was revealed on the Property Week website on Monday 26 June.

Holley Blake advises a long client list including ProLogis, Gazeley, Brixton, Astral and Parkridge. The increased manpower will enable CBRE to expand its services in Europe.

Holley Blake partner Keith Dowley will become CBRE’s new head of industrial; founding partner Simon Blake will join managing director Sue Clayton’s investment team; co-founding partner Simon Holley will assume a new title and role; and office partner Tony Lawson will join senior director James Brounger’s out-of-town offices team.

Mike Strong, president of Europe, Middle East and Africa for CBRE, said the deal followed a similar strategy to that of CBRE’s purchase of retail outfit Dalgleish last year.

‘The acquisition of Holley Blake gives us the leading position in the UK industrial market, fulfilling a key growth objective in Europe,’ said Strong.
