Lancaster City Council has resolved to grant planning consent for Centros’s £150m mixed-use regeneration scheme for Lancaster’s city centre.

Centros's plans for the 10-acre site include 320,000 sq ft of retail space, including a 97,500 sq ft Debenhams department store, 179 homes and a central piazza.

Following completion of the section 106 agreement, Centros’s development team – including 3DReid and Montagu Evans - will move on to the detailed design and other reserved matters.

It anticipates to start on site during 2010/11, with completion in 2012/13.
