Channel 4 unveils shortlists for regional HQ and hub

Liverpool Waterfront

Broadcaster Channel 4 has unveiled two shortlists featuring cities including Bristol, Glasgow, Belfast and Liverpool as potential locations for its new headquarters and two regional creative hubs.

Earlier this year, Channel 4 committed to establishing a headquarters outside London in 2019, as well as two smaller ‘creative hubs’, when it launched a new strategy called ‘4 All The UK’ in March. Under the plans, Channel 4 aims to increase its national and regional output from 35% to 50% by 2023, spending an extra £250m over that period.
