One of the Channel Islands’ largest pub companies is poised to change hands for around £70m. Daily Telegraph

Private equity firm LGV Capital is in advanced talks to buy a 60-strong pub company from SandpiperCI after being picked as a preferred bidder for the business by its owners.

SandpiperCI owns 42 pubs in Jersey, 21 in Guernsey – including Blind O’Reilly’s, the Thomas de la Rue and the White Hart – and two drinking establishments on the island of Alderney.

The business also owns the Jersey Brewery, which is based in one of the company’s drinks distribution warehouses.
