Co-op opts out

The Co-Operative Insurance Society (CIS) is to close its property investment division, with the loss of up to 60 jobs.Manchester-based CIS, which has a property portfolio of £2.1bn, has decided to appoint a third-party fund manager to take over the running of its investment property portfolio.
