Three leading quoted property companies have been shortlisted to buy a 20 acre (8 ha) industrial development site in Birmingham, Property Week has learnt.
Terrace Hill, the AIM-listed commercial and residential developer, is believed to be vyeing with two of the oldest industrial specialists on the main list Slough Estates and A&J Mucklow to buy the former Yuasa Batteries site in Sparkhill.
The site, which Yuasa closed last year, is being sold by Lambert Smith Hampton and GVA Grimley. It could accommodate around 350,000 sq ft (32,515 sq m) of industrial space and some residential units. The winning bid is likely to be around £10m, local agents believe, with the end value of the development around £35m.
