European property fund manager Cordea Savills has opened an office in Stockholm after making a trio of appointments.

The company has purchased E200m (£138m) of property in Sweden and Finland and is looking to increase its exposure in these countries with the appointments of Hakan Blixt and Johan Eliasson from private equity company Niam AB, and Olle Hallfors from property management company Desima AB. Blixt will lead the team.

The appointments and expansion were orchestrated by Cordea Savills chief executive officer Justin O’Connor who said: ‘The Nordic region offers excellent investment opportunities, plus we will be able to be closer and more responsive to our client base.

‘Cordea Savills has a strong track record in sourcing stock in the region and we have a strong pipeline of new deals coming through.’
