David Coulthard has filed a winding up petition for his Dakota Sherwood Park Hotel in Nottingham. The Daily Telegraph
The Formula One racing driver is understood to have taken the action after personally lending the hotel hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Coulthard owns the hotel as part of a joint venture with Chicago developer Peter Morris and Scottish hotelier Ken McCulloch, who founded the Malmaison group.
The Dakota chain also includes two hotels in Scotland and another is planned for southern England next year. None of these are affected by the winding up petition.
