The housebuilder has hired Nicholle Phillips as director of Strategic Land West to lead the expansion of the division into the surrounding counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey and West Sussex.

Phillips previously worked for Crest Nicholson and Taylor Wimpey where she acquired large-scale strategic sites and pushed them through the planning system.

“Nicholle’s track record, reputation and passion for creating successful new communities will significantly strengthen the reach of our highly successful Strategic Land team,” said Andrew Carrington, managing director of Strategic Land.

Phillips and her team will be based in Twyford, Berkshire alongside Countryside’s Millgate Homes business.

Last month, Countryside Properties outlined plans for an expansion of its strategic partnership with Sigma Capital Group that will see the two companies target the delivery of a further 5,000 private rental sector homes over the next three years.
