The development on College Road, which will comprise 817 bedrooms and 120 apartments, would also become the tallest co-living scheme in London.

Its two towers will stand at 34 and 49 storeys tall. The current tallest modular building in the world happens to be another Tide Construction scheme in Croydon: a 44-storey, 546-unit built-to-rent development it built for Greystar last year.

The taller of the two towers in the co-living scheme offers 32,500 sq ft of amenity space, including catering facilities, a café and co-working areas, equating to 40 sq ft of amenity space per person.
