The National Theatre in London has appointed Drivers Jonas to project manage the design strategy for its development.
Drivers Jonas’s culture and heritage project management team will work with architects Haworth Tompkins to help the National Theatre design, programme and deliver a masterplan for the Grade II listed Denys Lasdun-designed building.
The masterplan will include a new site for the education facilities at the National Theatre, as well as animating elements of the theatre’s façade including its terraces.
It will also address sustainability issues, and the improvement of the public spaces on the terraces fronting the Thames.
