Deliveroo unveils UK expansion plans

Deliveroo has announced plans for a major UK expansion, adding 5,000 restaurants to its delivery platform and extending its network by around 50%.

The food delivery firm said restaurant partners will be able to use their own riders for the first time, using the company’s Marketplace+ feature.

Deliveroo allows restaurants to offer home delivery through its smartphone app but until now has required partners to use its own couriers.
