Westfield has announced a raft of new lettings at its Derby shopping centre to open later this year.

The refurbished and extended centre that Westfield is developing in a joint venture with Hermes will be Westfield’s first completed development in the UK when it opens in October.

The latest retailers to sign up include fashion retailer Republic taking 8,200 sq ft, jeweller F Hinds taking 1,300 sq ft, Carphone Warehouse taking 1,320sq ft and Paperchase taking 1,800sq ft.

Other retailers just signed up to the £340m scheme are Ministry of Design and Pearl Boutique.

Westfield Derby will be the largest retail redevelopment to open in the UK this year.

It is thought that around 90% of the space at the scheme is either agreed or in the final stages of legal agreements.
