Martin Vickerman, director at Terrace Hill Group said: ‘We are confident that this new centre will provide both stimulus for future investment in the design industry in the North East, together with a focal point for inspiring and promoting innovative and productive design companies in the region.’

Dianne Sharp, managing director at Bishop Auckland-based manufacturer, Mechetronics added: ‘Until now, general design and engineering support has been fragmented but this significant investment will go a long way to bringing together that network.’
