A retail and housing development site close to Hornsey High Street in north London is up for grabs

Haringey Council today announced it was searching for a developer to create a retail and housing scheme on the former Hornsey Central depot site along with adjoining land owned by Sainsbury's.

Plans agreed by the council's executive follow a number of unsolicited bids for the site, which under the council's plans is earmarked for a food store and new homes.

Property agents and advisers will be appointed for the scheme in due course.
