A host of top property names are lining up to partner Camden Council on a lucrative development site in the London borough.

Developers including Hines and Development Securities submitted proposals last week to redevelop the Camden Town Hall Annexe site, a 0.57 acre site on Euston Road.

Their bids were joined by bids from residential companies including Barratt Developments, and hotel companies including a 4* hotel group.

The council is looking to sell or partner a developer on the site as the costs of bringing the existing council building on the site up to modern standards are too expensive.

The council is currently reviewing its occupational requirements and may move staff into any future scheme on the annexe site, as well as considering a move to Argent’s King’s Cross Central scheme or remain in its main town hall office, next to the annexe building.

CB Richard Ellis is advising the council.
