Cardiff developer Dovey Estates has started construction of a 60,000 sq ft superstore at the Waterton Cross retail park near Bridgend, Wales.

It willl be partly occupied by furnishing and fabric retailer Dunelm which is taking 40,000 sq ft.

The £6m scheme is funded by Julian Hodge Bank.

It is part of a £16m of funding the bank has provided for schemes in the area.

It is also funding a housing development near Ammanford and refurbishment of a large industrial unit and offices in east Cardiff.
