DTZ's finance director Colin Child is leaving the company.

Child has been at the global property services company since October 2007, but said he wishes to 'seek new challenges outside the company'.

DTZ said in a Stock Exchange announcement that Child will manage the preparation of the final results for the financial year to 30 April 2009 and assist in an orderly transition to his successor.

He is expected to leave the business at the end of July. DTZ said it has begun searching for his replacement.

Tim Melville-Ross, DTZ's chairman, said: 'I would like to thank Colin for the significant contribution he has made to the group and particularly for the vital role he played in ensuring the success of our recent fundraising.

'We are grateful to Colin for staying on to effect a smooth transition and wish him well in his next career move.'

Child said: 'With the fundraising now complete, I am pleased to be leaving DTZ in a strong position. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at DTZ and know that they are well placed to take the business forward.'
