Dunmoore has acquired a former car dealership in Ashford, Kent, for a conversion into a trade counter destination.

The 16,911 car dealership was sold by Motorline for £2m.

The units have already been pre-let to three trade occupiers including Screwfix, Crown Paints and F1 Autocentres, all of whom will be moving in over the next few weeks.

“The transformation in Ashford reflects our ability to take tired or redundant properties and reposition them into top-quality trade counter developments,” said Jeff Hobby, managing director and owner of Dunmoore.

“The fact we have been able to sign up three national occupiers without bringing the site to market reinforces the strength of the location and quality of product, and all within the four-and-a-half-month period from acquisition to practical completion.”

Rapleys acted for both Dunmoore and Motorline.
