Helical has promoted its group financial controller James Moss and senior investment executive Tom Anderson to the executive committee to work directly alongside chief executive Gerald Kaye.
Moss and Anderson have been with the company for four and nine years respectively and join the top team alongside Kaye, finance director Tim Murphy and property director Matthew Bonning-Snook.
Kaye said “I am very pleased to welcome James and Tom to our executive committee. Their promotions are clear recognition of their contribution to the Helical business and provides further evidence of the depth of talent within the company.”
It is the second major change within the top personnel at Helical in recent months after industry heavyweight Mike Slade announced his intention to step down from the role as non-executive chairman after 34 years with the company. The group has since confirmed that Slade will leave in July 2019 and be replaced by Richard Grant, a non-executive director of the group.
In February, Helical also announced the sale of its logistics portfolio to funds managed by Blackstone and M7 Real Estate for £150m – 14% above last September’s book value.
At the time, Anderson said the proceeds would be used to reduce Helical’s debt and annual finance costs.
