Furniture retailer Dwell is to open its tenth UK store this Autumn after signing up to take a 8,000 sq ft showroom at Land Securities and Hammerson’s Cabot Circus in Bristol.

Dwell will take a unit in the lifestyle shopping ‘Glass Walk’ area of the 1.5m sq ft scheme near the 3,000 seat Cinema de Lux and the main entrance. It will join other tenants including Starbucks, Sony, and children’s toy retailer The Entertainer.

Cabot Circus will open in autumn this year.

Keith Stone, leasing director, said: ‘Glass Walk has been designed to attract a cross section of lifestyle retailing concepts at affordable rents to widen the variety of the scheme’s overall tenant mix.

'Dwell is a key addition and will bring a real point of difference to the scheme introducing a showcase for its range of exclusive designs to shoppers in the south west for the first time. It will build on the homeware offer at House of Fraser ensuring that Cabot Circus becomes the principal focus for home styling shopping.’

Aamir Ahmad, managing director at Dwell Retail, said:Bristol has been on our radar as a prime location for our store expansion programme for some time. We have built up a solid customer base in the region from our mail order and web catalogue and have been looking for a store which would reflect our brand values.’

DTZ and Lunson Mitchenall are joint letting agents for Cabot Circus are. Ashley Medway of Mann Smith represented Dwell.
